Port Mulgrave Loop
Lou wants to recce a walk for her walking group later in the year. It’s important to ensure that any bridges are still standing and rights-of-way through farms are still appropriate before rounding up sixteen or seventeen walking companions for a nine or ten miler.
If you’re staying in the area, then the start and end points are easily accessible using the local bus service, and I would recommend this lovely walk wholeheartedly.
Lou likes a bit of elevation to stretch the lungs and strengthen the legs without threatening shale or dodgy loose stones, and this walk delivers in spades.
This includes woods, backroads and tracks together with plenty of ‘up’ through fields and a trig point on some of the highest cliffs in England. It’s also got seaside and non-threatening cliff walks with a visit to Staithes.
What’s not to like?
No long dialogue today. Just enjoy the snaps.
